III.II.III Checkpoints and Voting

A checkpoint of balances is taken at the start of epochs and the balances contained in these checkpoints are used for voting throughout the epoch.

During a Transfer Epoch, only the balance a user possessed at the checkpoint will be counted towards voting on POWER Threshold Proposals, which will not include standard inflationary proposals by definition. In order to vote the POWER owner’s delegate address (hereon referred to as the POWER holder) calls the Cast Votes method on the array of proposals they wish to vote on and specifies yes/no for each proposal.

There is no abstain option in the TTG.
